With respect to building plans, some consideration of traffic flow should be made. The current system is inefficient and dangerous, both on the road and the campus. Left hand turn lanes onto campus and at all campus exits are a must, as is a perimeter road that would allow the drop off and pick up of middle school students without having vehicles and high school students cross paths.

Logical suggestions. I am not sure if the roads fall under the purview of the committee or not. There has been a committee developed to study the traffic at the Richmond Elementary School (see “School Committee agrees to forma traffic committee” 12/07 Westerly Sun). Perhaps, when done, they could extend the research to other areas.
I do know the Town Council will be looking for volunteers for the building committee. If you would be interested you should contact one of the Town Council members. Thanks for the post. Bill Felkner
