In a comment I made on the previous post I mentioned this video discussing exactly what kind of government we are – it’s worth the watch.
This also reminds me of an OpEd a friend wrote years ago called The Curley Effect - its about Boston Mayor Curley (early 1900’s) who pushed out all those who created wealth and replaced them with people on the receiving end of ‘redistribution of wealth’ – thus increasing their voting block. This strategy is exactly what our founding fathers tried to avoid.
