A survey of parents in Richmond, Charlestown and Hopkinton was conducted in January 2004 to provide guidance to the Chariho Building Committee. Click on the thumbnail to enlarge.
Interesting…I never saw this survey in 2004. I can’t help but notice the complete disregard for the survey results.
Parents overwhelmingly support 5th and 6th graders in elementary schools. The bond pretty much assures this won’t happen.
Parents overwhelmingly cite cost as a primary factor in voting yes on the bond. The bond inflates costs by including a new building for RYSE and expansion of the middle school.
Neither RYSE or expanding the middle school is addressed in the survey. Why did they bother to survey since they obviously had no intention of listening to the parents?
