Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.. The Charlestown vote takes place at the Charlestown Town Hall, Hopkinton at the Hopkinton Town Hall and Richmond at the Richmond H.L. Arnold Fire & Safety Complex.
Please take time to vote. Support your school district by voting “Yes” to approve the Chariho School 2008-09 budget.

“Vote no Tuesday on Chariho Budget”

These are dangerous economic times. Unemployment is high, foreclosures are increasing, and a credit crisis exists.
With 80 percent of our local taxes going to Chariho, we cannot afford to support our schools at proposed budget fever. We’re struggling to pay to keep roofs over our heads, food in our refrigerators, prescriptions in our medicine cabinets, and gas in our cars. As we tighten our belts, our schools must also do the same. We’re going through tough times with rocky roads ahead. Chariho cannot keep cruising on the highway and passing on the costs to overburdened taxpayers. On Tuesday, April 8, at the Hopkinton Town Hall from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., vote “No.”
Georgia Ure Charlestown

  1. Georgia Ure, Charlestown? … Now that’s a good laugh! I didn’t notice that until today.

  2. Hi!
    Mistakes are made.
Georgia grew up in Ashaway, the daughter of George and Kay Fish, and has long lived in the Wyoming area of Hopkinton and owns a business in Hope Valley. Her dad is deceased.
Georgia, a former educator, was Hopkinton’s first Recreation Director. A member of the Board of Directors of the Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire District currently, she was top vote getter and Chair of the Hopkinton Charter Commission that framed our Hopkinton Town Charter.
She has shown her committment to Hopkinton.

  3. Scott, who cares? I knew she was from Hopkinton. The laugh was that the newspaper had her from Charlestown. If you don’t understand that, you’re a dumber stump that I had thought you were.
