Dusting off an old friend

Filed under: School Choice — Editor @ 7:41 pm

It looks like I haven’t posted on here since February 2010, save a couple of items posted for Sylvia Thompson of the Hopkinton Town Council.  “Back in the day” this blog was quite popular, not because of what I was writing but because of all the readers and their participation.

I just wanted to log-in, dust off the ‘dashboard” or whatever WordPress is calling it now, and get my feel back for the blog.  I have been asked to participate in a group that will be of interest to the past readers of this blog and will post more details very soon.

Best to all, and congrats to those who won yesterday.

  1. Welcome back! Things have gotten worse since your departure I suspect. I haven’t been paying close attention since Chariho continues to offer an inferior education at a ridiculous cost and voters don’t care a whit. I do look at my tax bill from time-to-time so I know we are paying a high cost for the inferior education of our kids..

Any chance voters are ready to hold Chariho accountable? Nah, don’t see it happening. At least give us choices so those parents who give a rat’s behind about education rather than nice new buildings can help out our kids.

  2. My son is 7 years old and attends the Charlestown Elementary School. He was suspended today because he said he was going to shoot Santa Clause. Yes, Santa Clause.

I find this ridiculous on more levels than I can put into words, and I would like to post about it on these forms to get some feedback as to whether I’m correct in my assumption that the school has gone way overboard this time or if I am a lunatic parent that doesn’t understand the severity, and potential harm caused to the world as we now know it, by allowing my child to tease about shooting Santa Clause.

I don’t know how to start a new thread (If that’s even possible). Could you possible give me some direction as to whether I can post such a thread here or if there is another place that is more appropriate for such a discussion.
